There
are a number of merits associated with the development and growth of an area.
For example, malls and shopping centers crop up as a sign of growth and
development. When such services are brought closer to the common citizen, there
are numerous advantages that the people enjoy. The proposition of constructing
a shopping center closer to my neighborhood offers a number of advantages. For
this reason I strongly agree that the construction of the shopping center is
essential and advantages for a variety of reasons.
First,
services are brought closer to the people. From a local person’s perspective,
this saves travel and shopping costs greatly. It is worth noting that in this
neighborhood people have to travel to the nearest town to get their essential
shopping essentials. The introduction of a shopping center will ensure that
goods and services are conveniently brought closer to the common people. This
will inevitably reduce travel time and consequently the shopping time.
Secondly, the introduction of a shopping center will increase the jobs within
this neighborhood. A lot of young people who stay idle in the vicinity will
have chances of engaging in entrepreneurial activities within the shopping
center. This will increase the economy of the area and raise the standards of
living. In addition, vices such as crime will be greatly reduced.
Lastly,
the introduction of a shopping center in the region will elevate the image of
the neighborhood. It will attract revenue from the surrounding regions and this
acts a foundation for major development of the neighborhood into an independent
and self-sustaining region. The future of the region will become more promising
as the center will increase competition making the people to be creative.
